1. What size air filter do I currently have?

If you are unsure of the size you can use a common tape measure to find your filters actual size which will vary from the filters printed size. 2. What MERV rating is the best?

The MERV rating helps you understand an air filter’s effectiveness. MERV ratings from 8-13 are common for home furnace filters. MERV ratings 14 and above are designed for commercial HVAC systems. Call us at 1-800-699-0747 with any questions or have a look at our MERV rating chart.

3. How often should I change my furnace filter?

Every 3 months is a good guideline. Larger filters (such as AIRBEAR, that are typicall 4 to 6 inches thick) can be changed yearly.

4. Do I need special tools to change A home furnace filter?

No. But you may neeed a stradard or philips screwdriver. You unscrew or pop off the filter cover, slide the old filter out and slide in a replacement. For a more detailed view a step-by-step guide here.
