Odor Control Carbon Air FIlTERS

The Reliable carbon pleat filter has two separate filtration layers combined into a single filter unit. The first stage is manufactured with thermally bonded, 100% synthetic fibers and white in color. The second stage consists of synthetic fibers impregnated with activated carbon and black in color. The activated carbon absorbs odors and irritants while maintaining a low resistance to air flow.

The two stages are supported and separated by a metal support grid and then pleated to increase effective surface area. The pleated media pack is enclosed in a moisture resistant beverage board frame ensuring a total seal between the media and the frame.

The Reliable carbon pleat comes in a variety of sizes to directly replace the filters you are currently using with no modification to your system.

Granular Carbon Honeycomb Filters

The granular fill disposable Reliable filter uses a premium grade activated carbon for the purification of air streams in occupied spaces for improved indoor air quality. The unique honeycomb design along with granular activated carbon gives exceptional performance and long life for recalculating air applications.

Our granular carbon Reliable filter comes in a variety of standard sizes. Custom sizes and specialty activated carbons are also available. These filters reduce energy cost, have low air flow resistance, are lightweight and durable. They can also be easily installed with existing particulate filtration media. The granular Reliable filter is also available with a 1/4" non-woven, one sided polyester for dust control.

Activated Carbon:

The granular carbon filter is fabricated of a rigid support structure and charged with premium grade coconut shell activated charcoal. The activated charcoal has a surface area of 1100 square meters per gram or over one million square feet of surface area per square foot of filter. The activated carbonl is loaded into the filter constructed in a partial bypass configuration to promote odor removal and long life in a recalculating application. The actual life of the filter is a function of the dust and vapor contaminant condition of each application.

Metal Frame Option:

The granular disposable filter is also available with a metal-frame option specially designed to withstand high-moisture environments. This filter uses an electro-galvanized metal frame with a support strap across the filter for added stability often required in damp, wet or humid conditions. When properly installed in the filter track, the support strap is located at the bottom of the filter. Metal-frame filters are available in two common sizes - 12x24x2 and 24x24x2.
